SaiGrib is a weather and tides forecast app tailored for the sailing community, encompassing cruisers and racers worldwide. Offering a comprehensive collection of weather forecast models sourced from various providers, SaiGrib delivers a seamless user experience.

Weather data is conveniently downloaded as grib files while tides are locally calculated on your device.

Using SailGrib enables you to access and analyze a range of data including:

• Wind (10m above sea level)
• Pressure (reduced to mean sea level)
• Precipitation (accumulated over 6 hours)
• Total cloud cover
• Air Temperature (2m above ground)
• Wave information (significant wave height, mean wave direction, and period)
• CAPE (Convective Available Potential Energy) estimation
• Tidal or oceanic currents

SailGrib offers customization options for your grib file request, including:

• Grib provider selection: SailGrib, Great Circle, SailDocs, Open WRF, MeteoConsult, GMN, Mercator Ocean for oceanic and coastal currents...
• Request method: direct download (SailGrib, Great Circle, MeteoConsult, GMN) or email (SailDocs, GMN, or Great Circle)
• Grid resolution: from very high resolution to 2.5°
• Time step between forecasts: ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours based on models
• Forecast duration: customizable from 1 to 14 days depending on the model
• Maximum file size control; SailGrib optimizes grid resolution and time step to ensure the file size stays within your specified limit
